A Roman Ruin In Morocco
These pictures were all taken during a short day-trip from my parents' home in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to a place called Volubilis, which was once a Roman city near the borders of the great empire. Before Roman occupation, the city was previously inhabited by Phoenicians and Berbers, among others. Eventually it was abandoned by Rome and went into decline, and was finally abandoned altogether sometime in the 11th century.
