My name is Emma Preston, and I love life.
And this is how I live it.
-
February 1995 — born in Tucson, Arizona to a lineage of strong pioneers, courageous immigrants, and tough Arizona cowboys
-
August 2000 — began kindergarten in Mesa, Arizona, and was sorely disappointed to discover that ancient Rome was mentioned not even once, but instead the alphabet song was brought up repeatedly
-
December 2002 — first close-up international experience on a family trip to London; this is also about the time that I started to discover my love for photography
-
2005 or thereabouts — finally slammed with the reality that life is confusing; we all get there someday, I suppose, but for me it was tough
-
August 2008 — moved to Suzhou, China where my parents found jobs as international school teachers; I subsequently attended high school with people from all over the world; unfortunately after five years' exposure my Mandarin is still no better than my Spanish, which means it's not bad but not great either
-
June 2013 — graduated from Suzhou Singapore International School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma
-
July - August 2013 — traveled to Denmark, Sweden, and Morocco, where many of the photos featured here were taken
-
September 2013 — began college at Brigham Young University–Hawaii, in the city of La'ie, with the hope of eventually becoming a speech-language pathologist (also called SLP or speech therapist)
I am looking for ways to sell my photographs as fine-art prints. However, due to other priorities and limited time I don't think it will be happening soon. Still, please feel free to contact me with suggestions or comments about my work. For contact info view my contact page.
